Yusif Meizongo Jnr, widely recognized by his brand Maison Yusif, is a Ghanaian entrepreneur and perfumer holding a First-Class Honours degree in Public Relations from the Islamic University in Ghana. His entrepreneurial odyssey began in 2017 after multiple futile attempts to secure a white-collar role despite his distinguished academic credentials. Starting from a small atelier and even operating from the trunk of his car, he meticulously honed his craft over the years, emerging as a respected artisan perfumer whose influence extends beyond Africa’s borders.

Driven to create world-class fragrances, Yusif pursued specialized perfumery courses at renowned institutions across C?te d’Ivoire, Germany, Dubai, Turkey, France, Nigeria, Egypt, and Ethiopia—an endeavor that deepened his mastery of the art. Despite facing myriad challenges from the brand’s inception, Maison Yusif persevered, fueled by the vision to become Ghana’s premier perfume house.

"After failing to land a job, I tried selling clothes, watches, sneakers, slimming products, and even driving for Uber—but nothing clicked. Then I noticed customers kept asking about the fragrance I wore instead of the items I sold. That’s when the idea sparked," he recalled.

Maison Yusif Fragrance has since become a paragon of sophistication, celebrated for its captivating scents and elegant packaging. Committed to sourcing the finest global ingredients, each fragrance is meticulously crafted to evoke emotions and memories—whether through the warm embrace of amber and vanilla or the invigorating notes of citrus and florals, offering a timeless sensorial journey.

Yusif’s visionary blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern innovation has cultivated a loyal, discerning clientele, establishing Maison Yusif as an icon in haute parfumerie. The brand now operates three branches in Accra and Kumasi, having created over 10 premium fragrances with ambitions for international expansion.

Beyond perfumery, Yusif’s creativity and philanthropy have earned him industry acclaim. Through his non-profit "Home of Humanity Foundation," he has enrolled over 30 children from Accra’s Zongo communities into schools, donated proceeds from each sale to Ghanaian orphanages, and facilitated rehabilitation for three adults struggling with drug addiction—all now gainfully employed.

Leading a nine-member team, Yusif has crafted over 10 exceptional fragrances (both pure oil and alcohol-based) for global clients, with more in development. His masterpiece The Vatican was recently named "Niche Perfume of the Year" at the Perfumista Awards in France, while he also won Dubai’s "Most Respected CEO of the Fragrance Community" accolade—testaments to Maison Yusif’s rising global stature.

As word of his unique creations spreads, Maison Yusif continues to captivate perfume enthusiasts and connoisseurs alike, solidifying its legacy as a brand that marries artistry with purpose. From humble beginnings to international acclaim, Yusif Meizongo’s journey remains a testament to the power of vision—and the enduring allure of a scent that transcends the ordinary.
