Tom's journey in the fragrance industry has been an enriching one. He previously co - founded, owned, and served as the chief operations officer at Coal and Canary from September 2014 to January 2020. In addition, he was the owner and perfume educator at Denatured. His experience at Denatured was particularly notable. In 2020, he opened the Denatured perfume lab in the Exchange district. This open - access perfume lab and workshop space was designed to demystify the perfume industry. Here, customers were given the opportunity to blend their own custom scents and gain knowledge about perfumery.
