  Thierry Wasser stands as a legendary perfumer with a career spanning over three decades. Born in Switzerland in 1961, he grew up immersed in the perfume industry, as his father—a chemist—worked for Givaudan, one of the world’s preeminent fragrance powerhouses.

  Wasser launched his perfumery journey as an apprentice at Charabot, a French fragrance firm, before moving on to Firmenich, another major industry player. In 2008, he assumed the role of in-house perfumer at Guerlain, the prestigious French perfume house with a storied history dating back to 1828.

  Since joining Guerlain, he has crafted iconic scents such asLa Petite Robe Noire,Shalimar Parfum Initial, andAqua Allegoria Mandarine Basilic. Renowned for his mastery in blending natural and synthetic ingredients in unexpected, innovative ways, his fragrances seamlessly balance timeless elegance with contemporary allure.

  Beyond Guerlain, Wasser has collaborated with brands like Kenzo and Bvlgari, earning widespread industry acclaim and numerous awards for his artistry.   Away from perfumery, Wasser indulges his passion for vintage cars, often restoring them in his spare time. He also cherishes family moments, citing his wife and daughter as his greatest sources of inspiration.
