Sidonie Lancesseur, a gifted and acclaimed perfumer, unearthed her passion for fragrances at an early age. As a child, she was entranced by the aromas of the French countryside during family holidays. At 12, a meeting with a family friend in the perfume industry sparked her desire to express herself through scent. Lancesseur pursued this dream by studying at France’s prestigious ISIPCA (Institut Supérieur International du Parfum, de la Cosmétique et de l’Aromatique Alimentaire).
After graduating, she began her career at Robertet, a leading fragrance and flavor house, where she was mentored by the renowned perfumer Michel Almairac, who shared his extensive knowledge and expertise. Throughout her career, Lancesseur has collaborated with esteemed brands such as Atelier Oblique, Azzaro, Bentley, and By Kilian.
Renowned for her elegantly minimalist, nature-inspired fragrances, Lancesseur has won acclaim from both critics and consumers. Her most notable creations include By Kilian’sStraight to Heaven, Frapin’s1270andL’humaniste, and Olfactive Studio’sLumière Blanche.
Lancesseur’s approach to perfume-making is deeply rooted in her childhood experiences and love of nature. She has a profound affinity for woody notes like patchouli and vetiver, which evoke memories of her time in the French countryside. Her work with Robertet has also allowed her to explore premium raw materials, such as rose.
