As a child, Shahar Schwartz spent countless hours in nature. He would climb mountains surrounded by soft grass and blooming flowers, overlooking vast vineyards. To this day, these environments still evoke the sense of wonder he felt as a young boy. Such moments deeply influenced the trajectory of his life.
Shahar’s rigorous education led him to a career as a satellite engineer. At 40, however, he quit his high-paying but unfulfilling job to pursue his passions. Soon after, he began managing a factory that produced fragrance extracts and essential oils. The owner became not only his close friend but also a lifelong mentor and teacher, introducing him to a world he instantly fell in love with.
This experience sparked his curiosity, leading him to study perfumery in France and the U.S. Yet Shahar credits hands-on trial and error as his most valuable teacher. While working in the industry, he specialized in creating custom fragrances for hotels and businesses as part of their brand identities. This work ignited his interest in the relationship between scent and human identity, prompting him to research how personal fragrances could reflect individual personalities.
In 2015, he founded "Perfuniq," a small lab where clients collaborate with perfumers to craft bespoke scents based on his research. His innovative approach gained global recognition, attracting visitors who sought to create high-quality personal perfumes. Today, over 10,000 unique fragrances have been developed through this process.
Shahar’s dedication to fragrance research continued to evolve. After asking clients about their most romantic and sensual vacation destinations, he conceived NasoProfumo—a niche brand designed to capture the essence of vacationing in Tuscany.
In 2023, he established Miva Labs Ltd. in the heart of southern Israel’s desert. The lab serves as a hub for researching and developing raw materials, conducting quality control, and testing fragrance effects. It also produces artisanal perfumes, including those for the NasoProfumo brand, blending scientific rigor with artistic intuition.
