Twenty years ago, my career began as a perfumer’s assistant, weighing and dosing fragrance formulas. It was an unexpected revelation—love at first sight…or rather, first scent! Never had I envisioned becoming a perfumer. Today, as a Senior Perfumer based in Singapore, I’m privileged to discover something new daily: experimenting with obscure ingredients, solving unique challenges, and learning from colleagues. Perfumery demands a relentless curiosity and an open mind to fresh perspectives and ideas.
I’m convinced scents are a form of communication, and perfumery is akin to poetry—profoundly moving because it touches the soul. Fragrances have the power to evoke shared emotions and a sense of wellbeing. As perfumers, we craft this emotional resonance through our creations. This duality of fascination and challenge is what makes our profession so extraordinary. When developing a fragrance, my mission is to infuse it with emotional narratives of beauty and harmony. Whether for a specific product or category, I apply a distinct aesthetic to create a scent that elevates your brand while offering consumers a moment of pure delight.
