- Claudine de Vogel Senior Perfumer Germany:
Company:CPL Aromas
Claudine's earliest recollections are all intertwined with scent: the Eau Imperiale her grandfather sprinkled on his handkerchiefs, the aroma of unlit Gitane cigarettes, the cold hearth of the upstairs sitting room fireplace, and the classic geranium plants on the windowsill.
With family rooted in the fragrance industry, Claudine gained invaluable first-hand experience through three placements across various departments at Firmenich. Her aspiration to become a perfumer was ignited by Firmenich Master Perfumer Annie Buzantian, leading her to pursue a BA in Business of Perfumery at the University of Plymouth. Following a successful marketing placement at CPL Aromas and earning her degree, she joined CPL as a trainee perfumer in 2002. Mentored by Christian Provenzano and Mike Parrott, she has worked in the UK, Spain, and now resides in Germany as part of the CPL team.
While Claudine is passionate about all things fragrant, her professional focus spans toiletries, laundry care, air care, and fine fragrance. She gravitates toward olfactive profiles that are light, airy, or cologne-inspired—yet with a twist, whether spiced, floral, or ambery. Favorite ingredients in her compositions include pepper, cardamom, magnolia, and bergamot.
