Christian Rostain, a distinguished figure in the world of perfumery, was born in 1953 in Fréjus. His journey into the realm of scent began serendipitously. In 1974, he started as a perfumer's apprentice at the renowned Robertet Group in Grasse.
For six formative years, he underwent intensive internal training under the guidance of the senior perfumer Louis Truc. His learning experience was further enriched by working with perfumer Henri Romano. In 1980, he took on the role of a junior perfumer under the leadership of Georges Pellegrin. Through his work, he actively participated in the expansion of his company across South America, Central America, and the USA.
With an impressive career spanning over 30 years, Rostain has left an indelible mark. Among his notable creations are Carrera by Carrera, Cible de Chlorance, and the toilet water for Etro, a prestigious fashion brand based in Milan. He has also crafted perfumes for industry giants such as L'Oréal, Henkel, and Clarins.
