Calice Becker, a French master perfumer and Director of the Givaudan Perfumery School, once asked her mother how flowers found their way into a bottle of eau de cologne. Intrigued by the transparent liquid that emanated a potent scent of orange blossoms, she later unraveled the mystery—and today, she fills crystal bottles with the essence of flowers herself.
"I love to infuse a dose of intrigue," Calice says. "Nothing captures attention like the unexpected." Her innovative approach has solidified her reputation as one of the world’s most revered perfumers.
Calice has crafted iconic fragrances for global houses, including Dior J’adore, YSL, Marc Jacobs, and By Kilian’s "chef-d’œuvre." She insists on embedding elements of surprise in her creations to ensure they transcend the ordinary.
For her trailblazing contributions to the fragrance industry, she has received numerous honors, including the Lifetime Achievement Award from The Fragrance Foundation. As of 2018, she served as President of the International Society of Perfume Creators.
