Brandon Jensen is a remarkable perfumer who has made a significant mark in the world of fragrances. Hailing from Albuquerque, New Mexico, Jensen's early life was deeply rooted in nature. Growing up on a farm surrounded by horses, cattle, and various birds, he developed a profound appreciation for the outdoors. His family vacations, filled with camping and fishing in the northern New Mexico mountains, further nurtured this love.
In 2021, Jensen discovered his passion for perfumery through Daniel and Mindy Gallagher of Gallagher Fragrances. Inspired by his love for nature, he began crafting scents that reflect the beauty of the natural world. The bison emblem, which holds personal significance for him, echoing his roots in the vast western expanses and symbolizing strength and untamed freedom, is a prominent feature of his brand, Jensen Fragrances.
Jensen's journey into perfumery was not without its catalysts. The untimely loss of dear friends during the COVID-19 pandemic led him and his wife, Terri, to reassess their priorities. This period of reflection, combined with reconnecting with his sister Mindy and meeting her husband Daniel, who had an interest in crafting perfumes, ignited Jensen's passion for the art form.
Jensen Fragrances officially entered the social media and business licensing realms in February 2023. Since then, Jensen has released several captivating fragrances. "Clove of Olde," for example, draws inspiration from the comforting allure of cooking spices and the cozy ambiance of an ancient bookstore next to a spice market. Its notes include blood orange, timur pepper, clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, tobacco, caramel, vanilla, oakmoss, amyris wood, patchouli, amber, musk, and oud, creating a rich and complex olfactory experience. Another creation, "Gardenia Dusk," features notes of orange blossom, gardenia, lavender, rose, iris, plum, star anise, honey, whipped cream, vanilla, sandalwood, ambergris, and white musk, offering a fragrant journey that is both alluring and enchanting.
