- Anna Ivanova Perfumer:
Raised in Salerno, a city in the Campania region near the Amalfi Coast, Anna Chiara Di Trolio has nurtured a profound connection with the scents of her homeland and the surrounding sea from an early age.
Born on November 8th, 1991, her first olfactory memories are steeped in the tang of the sea—notes of salt and seaweed carried by the breeze. In 2018, at the age of 27, she joined Moellhausen, where she now fulfills her lifelong dream: working as a perfumer.
She attended the Faculty of Cosmetic Science and Technology in Rome, graduating as a cosmetologist with a thesis focused explicitly on fragrances. This academic journey revealed to her that among all cosmetic elements, perfume stands as the most refined and alluring, intertwined with personal pleasure and intimate emotions.
From childhood, Anna Chiara possessed a highly developed olfactory sensitivity, enabling her to instantly identify the materials and environments around her. She soon realized that becoming a perfumer requires more than just a keen nose: it demands daily olfactory training and meticulous study of scent families to understand how raw materials interact and how each detail contributes to the whole fragrance.
After university, Moellhausen became the crucible where she honed her talents. Starting in the practical realm of the application laboratory—with beakers and pipettes—she progressed to creating perfumes. For her, fragrances are living compositions, akin to musical scores where the harmony of a chord relies on the balance of proportions and the olfactory intensity of each note.
Her sunny disposition and expansive nature further enrich her craft, allowing her to capture every form of reality’s expression. With a playful yet profound approach, she translates even the most complex thoughts and enigmatic sensations into scent—always with a smile on her lips and light in her eyes.
