In 2009, she initiated her formal odyssey into the world of perfumery under the tutelage of Dawn Spencer Hurwitz from DSH Perfumes, an apprenticeship that blossomed into a profound, long-term learning experience.
Jobin perceives herself as a conceptual perfumer, dedicated to crafting wearable art. She is passionate about perfume as an interpersonal art form, expressing her creativity through "art in air." Based in Boulder, Colorado, her olfactory creations span a diverse spectrum of themes. From avant-garde expressions to those inspired by events like Burning Man, and concepts related to cannabis, technology, science, outer space, ozone/marine elements, and vintage scents, her work is a testament to her wide-ranging imagination.
One of her notable achievements is her cargo-cult-inspired perfume, "John Frum," which triumphed in the Artisan Art and Olfaction Award in 2014. Additionally, her talent has been recognized with several finalist positions in the same awards. Perfumes such as "Love for 3 Oranges" in 2016, "Saffron" in 2017, and "Touchstone" in 2018 reached the finals, highlighting her consistent excellence in the field.
Beyond her own line of artisan perfumes, Aether Arts Perfumes offers an array of services.
