Alexandre Freile is a renowned perfumer whose olfactory creations have left an indelible mark on the world of fragrance.

Freile's journey in the perfumery realm began with a profound childhood immersion in the scented tapestry of France. Growing up near Paris, he was surrounded by the allure of French perfumes and the rich aromas of French cuisine. His childhood holidays, spent by the sea, in the mountains, and across the French countryside, further deepened his connection to nature's scents. The blooming flowers of spring, the intense summer scents, the earthy notes of fall, and the warm, comforting smells of winter all became part of his olfactory memory bank, fueling his passion for scents and setting the stage for his future career.

To turn his passion into a profession, Freile embarked on an extensive educational and training path. He started at the prestigious perfumery school of Versailles, laying a solid foundation in the art and science of perfumery. This was followed by an internship in Grasse, the perfume capital of the world, where he gained hands - on experience in the heart of the industry. He then joined Firmenich in Geneva, learning from esteemed mentors and master perfumers, honing his skills and developing his unique style. His career has taken him across the globe, spending 7 years in Singapore and 4 years in São Paulo, and he has now returned to Asia, bringing with him a wealth of international experience.

Throughout his career, Freile has crafted a diverse range of perfumes for various brands. For Boitown, he created the popular Boitown By Boitown series, including the Extreme and Pure versions of the Fantasia Gold - Plated Perfume. These fragrances, with their blend of floral, woody, and other notes, have been well - received by consumers. He also worked on Brocard's Berries Sence, offering a unique olfactory experience with its own set of top, middle, and base notes. Another notable creation is Jequiti's Isabella Fiorentino, which showcases his ability to design a scent that aligns with the brand's identity.

In addition to these, Freile has created fragrances that draw inspiration from different cultures and themes. For instance, his work on the Osmanthus Oolong perfume for Beast is a testament to his understanding and appreciation of Asian culture. This fragrance skillfully combines the sweet, warm aroma of osmanthus with the cool, slightly bitter notes of oolong tea, creating a harmonious blend that captures the essence of a Chinese autumn. His "immersion - style" creation of "Longjing Wencha" for the Solar Terms Box brand, inspired by the natural scenery of Longjing Mountain in Hangzhou, is another example. By personally experiencing the local environment and extracting scents from natural plants, he was able to create a fragrance that truly embodies the fresh, green, and slightly humid atmosphere of a tea plantation in spring.

More recently, in 2023, he was the perfumer behind Borntostandout's DGAF, a unisex fragrance described as a "scent of liberty & madness. Untamed, unleashed and uncensored." With top notes of calabrian bergamot, citrus, sage, and violet; heart notes of sandalwood, incense, pepper, and Bulgarian rose; and base notes of amber, black balm, tonka bean, cashmeran, and musk, it is a complex and bold scent. In 2024, he created Secret Desire by Melaney Ricardo Crusita for women, an oriental floral fragrance with top notes of Bulgarian rose, middle notes of geranium, violet, and oud, and base notes of amber, sandalwood, vanilla, and musk.

Alexandre Freile continues to push the boundaries of perfumery, using his keen sense of smell, creativity, and cultural understanding to create scents that not only smell beautiful but also evoke emotions and memories, making him a respected figure in the world of fragrance creation.
