Theodoros Kalotinis (formerly Theo Parfums) is a niche Greek natural perfume brand founded by Theodoros Kalotinis in 2014.
Born and raised in Heraklion, Crete, Theodoros Kalotinis developed his passion from an early age. Even during his school years, he made a daily habit of collecting herbs and flowers for his herbarium. His deep love for nature and scents took root early in life, nurtured by his grandmother—a native of Smirni—with whom he grew up.
On weekends, their favorite pastime unfolded in his grandmother’s kitchen, which was filled with herbs and spices. There, the young, blindfolded Theo would test his ability to identify the herbs and spices held under his nose. This childhood game became both a lifelong gift and a foundational skill, honing his sense of smell.
In his adolescence, he began collecting perfumes. Years later, inspired to craft a personal fragrance using ingredients from Greek nature, he sourced essential oils and started experimenting. Through countless days and relentless hours of trial and error, he developed his own unique method for creating perfumes: a blend of rare, high-quality essential oils and alcohol distilled from natural grapes. He then traveled to Grasse, France, to study the fundamental principles of perfumery, followed by formal training in cosmetology at a Greek university.
Today, the brand bears its creator’s name—Theodoros Kalotinis Perfumer—and stands as Greece’s first artisanal perfume house to draw direct inspiration from nature. Its breakthrough moment came in 2018, when Theodoros Kalotinis crafted custom perfumes for Prince Charles of Wales and Duchess Camilla of Cornwall. Since then, the brand’s reputation has grown steadily, reaching a global audience through social media and other forms of mass communication.
To date, he has supplied his perfumes to numerous Greek and international celebrities. What captivates customers’ hearts and trust is the brand’s unique fusion of classic craftsmanship and premium natural ingredients—qualities that have made its perfumes renowned for their distinctiveness and authenticity.
