Tauer Perfumes is an independent Swiss perfume house founded in 2005 by Andy Tauer. By profession a chemist, Andy is a entirely self-taught perfumer; he initially launched Tauer Perfumes as a one-person venture while continuing to work his day job part-time.
Today, Andy Tauer has garnered global recognition among perfumistas—thanks not only to his perfumes, which he describes as "fragrant sculptures" distinguished by premium ingredients and innovative structures, but also to his approachability. He has sustained an open, warm dialogue with the perfume community through social media: starting with his debut blog in 2006, and later expanding toPERFUMism.com, a new collaborative platform, in 2009. The internet has been instrumental in growing Tauer Perfumes into a worldwide cult brand, and Andy himself is equally renowned for his exceptional talent and his unwavering support of the artisanal and independent perfume community.

In 2011, Andy also embarked on a collaboration with filmmaker Brian Pera, titledTableau de Parfums. For this project, Andy creates perfume "portraits," each inspired by the characters from Pera’s film seriesWoman's Picture.
