Police is an Italian fashion house established in 1983. Initially, the brand specialized in men’s and women’s sunglasses before expanding into additional product lines. Today, Police offers a diverse range of products, including eyewear, jewelry, watches, accessories like belts, and, notably, perfumes. The house launched its first eponymous fragrance in 1997. Crafted with fresh top notes, floral heart notes, and woody-musky base notes, this scent is commonly known asPolice Original.
The fragrance proved to be a financial triumph, prompting the company to release a new perfume duo in 2003:Police Naked Pour FemmeandPolice Naked Pour Homme. As the brand expanded its product portfolio with new lines, it also developed and unveiled numerous new fragrances alongside its accessory collections in the subsequent years. In 2006,Police B-Coolmade its debut—this fragrance blends aromatic, spicy, herbal, and woody notes to create a unique sensory experience that evokes both warmth and coolness simultaneously. The following year, 2007, saw the launch ofPolice Caribbean, a floral-fruity scent tailored for women, characterized by fresh, cheerful, passionate, and sweet accords.
The creative team behind Police reached new heights in 2008, when they introduced four new fragrances. Among them wasPolice Wings Pour Homme, a men’s fragrance featuring a sweet, oriental profile anchored by herbal and spicy notes. The same year also marked the release of another fragrance pair:Pure ManandPure Woman. Additionally, 2008 saw the launch ofPolice Freedom, a woody-aromatic scent designed for men.
In 2009, Police launched two new scents:Police Pure Police London Femme, a floral-fruity fragrance for women, andPolice Pure Police London Homme, an oriental fragrance with woody and spicy undertones. Building on the success of the 2008 men’sWingsfragrance, the brand introducedPolice Gold Wingsin 2010. 2011 proved to be a prolific year for the Italian specialist in sunglasses and accessories, with the release of multiple perfumes:Police Dark Women(an exotic oriental-floral perfume),Police Pure New York Woman,Police Pure New York Man, the highly talked-aboutTo Be(housed in a striking skull-shaped bottle), and the special editionPolice Titanium Wings.
Over the years, Police’s merchandise has been worn by several high-profile celebrities, including actor Bruce Willis and Italian football legend Paolo Maldini.
