Founded in 2020 by Robin Dünner and Nico Mannino, Pernoire is a Swiss niche perfume house based in Basel. Renowned for its limited-edition, one-of-a-kind, and premium fragrances, the brand distinguishes itself through innovative design. At its core, Pernoire’s vision is to craft scents that serve as olfactory expressions of one’s personality, empowering individuals to embody their ideal selves.
We don’t merely create pleasant aromas; we forgeolfactory personalities. Each fragrance is an alchemical masterpiece, meticulously crafted to elevate and accentuate your unique character. Our elixirs, each possessing its own distinct alchemical power, act as catalysts for your personality to align with the self you aspire to be.
Every individual’s character is multifaceted, yet certain behavioral traits are universal. Through our unique fragrances, we aim to amplify these situational aspects, bringing to the forefront your current mood and authentic self. Just as a personality boasts a complex structure, we hold our fragrances to the same standard of depth and intricacy.
The name "Pernoire" draws from two linguistic roots: "per noi" and "noire". "Per noi," meaning "for us" in Italian, reflects our commitment to creating perfumes for a select circle of fragrance connoisseurs—our community. It also symbolizes the olfactory reinforcement of "our collective personalities." Visually, our design aesthetic leans heavily on black tones, which is why we incorporated "noire"—the French word for "black"—into our name. Our tagline, "Your personal alchemist," encapsulates our ambition to be a brand that caters exclusively to fragrance enthusiasts, offering a personal touch in every interaction, from handwritten letters to tailored sales support.
To date, designer Pernoire has 13 perfumes in our fragrance collection. As a relatively new fragrance brand, its journey began in 2020 with its earliest edition, and the latest addition to the lineup is set to debut in 2025. All Pernoire fragrances are the creative work of nose Andreas Wilhelm.
