Olibanum emerged from the insight of its founder, Gérald Ghislain, who recognized that while perfumery has long been rooted in storytelling, a fragrance doesn’t need a narrative to smell exceptional.
The brand also took shape from a critical observation: today, we’re often told that "conscious" perfumes are "100% natural"—a claim that is misleading. As is so often the case, the truth lies in a more balanced perspective.
Olibanum currently boasts 19 fragrances in its collection. As a fledgling fragrance house, it launched its earliest scent in 2022, with the most recent addition debuting in 2024. The brand’s fragrances are the result of collaborations with master perfumers Sylvie Jourdet and Céline Perdriel.
