Celine Verleure is the visionary behind a distinctive niche perfume line launched in 2011. Boasting extensive experience in the fragrance industry, she first established a blog dedicated to exploring uncreated scents, seeking inspiration and ideas from her readership. It was through this collaborative process that the Olfactive Studio line came to life.
Olfactive Studio represents a unique fusion of contemporary art photography and perfumery, two mediums that share the power to capture a moment and its inherent atmosphere. As described, it is "a meeting point between contemporary artistic photography and perfumery; between the eye and the nose... situated at the intersection of a photographic studio and a perfume design atelier."
The inaugural trio of fragrances in the collection drew inspiration from the thematic realms of self-portraiture, the darkroom, and still life—translated into the scents Autoportrait, Chambre Noire, and Still Life. Celine Verleure first conceptualized the perfume names, then granted three distinct photographers creative freedom to interpret these titles visually. These resulting images, in turn, served as the muse for the perfumers tasked with crafting the olfactory compositions.
