Niche designer
The creator, David Perrin, is passionate about niche and travel perfumes. A perfume collector with deep roots in the industry, he has worked on the creation of fragrances and their packaging for other niche brands. This experience has given him a keen sensitivity to the quality of both products and materials—from the scent itself to the design of bottles and packaging.
Through his travels, David developed a profound curiosity for nature and the history of civilizations. The birth of Nectar Olfactif was a natural next step. Fascinated by the world of bees, he draws inspiration from their organization and the distribution of tasks within the hive. Just as forager bees bring nectar back to the hive, raw materials form the essence of an olfactory composition.
Nectar Olfactif sources the finest raw materials to craft exceptional fragrances. Each creation is a perfume extract, promising extraordinary olfactory hold and longevity.
David chose to collaborate with the perfumers of Maison Robertet—drawn to their values and their dedication to natural ingredients. For over two centuries, Robertet has been a leading source of natural materials for the perfume industry, with expertise spanning every stage from the origin of the plant—seed, leaves, and flowers—to innovative industrial processes such as extraction, hydro-distillation, purification, molecular distillation, CO₂ extraction, and co-distillation.
Working alongside perfumers Sidonie Lancesseur and Serge de Oliveira from Robertet, David ensured the selection of raw materials was meticulous, seeking natural scents inspired by his travels.
Once the fragrances were created from Robertet’s concentrates, David—using his own expertise—produces the perfume extracts in his family-run, artisanal workshop. The process includes maceration, glazing, and filtration before the final packaging stage.
Nectar Olfactif’s collection currently features six perfumes. Launched as a new fragrance brand, its earliest edition dates from 2024 and the most recent from 2025. The fragrances were developed in collaboration with perfumers Serge de Oliveira, Sidonie Lancesseur, Amandine Galliano, Alice Le Berre, and Julien Rasquinet.
