Arnaud’s inspirations draw deeply from his personal interests, spanning contemporary art, music, fashion, literature, and even pop culture. This cross-disciplinary approach brings together diverse influences — from the writings of visionary author Jules Verne, to the photographic works of Bernd and Hilla Becher, and the iconic Courier typeface designed by Howard Kettler.
In his pursuit of a fantasized, neoclassical modernity, Arnaud discovered the phrase“the primordial waters”in Jules Verne’s novel20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. These waters represent the birthplace of life, the very foundation of all living organisms on Earth.
Les Eaux Primordiales currently features30 perfumesin its collection. As a relatively new fragrance house, its earliest creation dates back to 2015, with the most recent editions released in 2024. The brand’s fragrances have been developed in collaboration with perfumersArnaud Poulain,Amélie Bourgeois,Studio Flair, andAnne-Sophie Behaghel.
