Lacoste is a French fashion house specializing in clothing, footwear, watches, and perfume. Founded in 1933 by René Lacoste and André Gillier, the brand is most renowned for its iconic tennis apparel—polo shirts emblazoned with the company’s distinctive green crocodile logo. Initially available exclusively in "tennis white," this signature garment expanded into a range of colors starting in 1952. A cornerstone of the early 1980s "preppy" fashion movement, the Lacoste tennis shirt remains a top-selling item to this day and has been endorsed by prominent tennis champions like Andy Roddick.

In the 1980s, Lacoste expanded its product lineup to include shoes, watches, sunglasses, and fragrances. The first fragrance,Lacoste for Men, debuted in 1984, paving the way for a series of scents for both men and women. Many of these fragrances carry a sporty aesthetic, prominently featuring the brand’s crocodile logo, and are developed in partnership with Procter & Gamble.
