  Jaguar Cars Ltd., commonly known as Jaguar, is a luxury automobile manufacturer based in Coventry, England, UK. As a subsidiary of the Jaguar Land Rover group, it is owned by the Indian parent company Tata Motors.

  Founded in 1922 by Sir William Lyons, the company initially specialized in manufacturing motorcycle sidecars under the name Swallow Sidecar Company. Post-World War II, the company underwent a name change, eventually adopting "Jaguar" as its official title. Having already ventured into automobile production, Jaguar later merged with the British Motor Corporation. In 1984, the company was listed on the London Stock Exchange and became a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index, a status it retained until its acquisition by Ford in 1989.

  Jaguar achieved its first major commercial success in the post-WWII era with the introduction of a series of striking sports cars. Despite their premium price points, these vehicles were regarded as offering excellent value, boasting an array of luxurious features. The brand gained renown for its powerful engines, which were fitted not only in road cars but also in Grand Prix-winning racing models. During the 1950s, Jaguar secured victory four times in the 24 Hours of Le Mans race in France.

  Under Ford's ownership, Jaguar expanded its product lineup, launching the iconic S-Type in 1999 and R-Type in 2001. In 2008, Jaguar was sold to India's Tata Motors.

  In 1988, Jaguar ventured into the fragrance industry with its first men's scent,Jaguar for Men. This fragrance features notes of orange, lavender, green accords, mandarin orange, cassia, basil, grapefruit, anise, bergamot, cyclamen, nutmeg, carnation, gardenia, cinnamon, jasmine, caraway, sage, rose, geranium, leather, sandalwood, tonka bean, amber, patchouli, musk, oakmoss, vanilla, cedar, and tobacco.

  1993 saw the release ofMiss Jaguar, a floral fragrance and the brand's first offering for women.Jaguar Marc II, another men's scent, debuted in 1995. 1998 marked the launch ofEssentially Jaguar, the brand's second women's fragrance—a floral composition highlighted by prominent floral notes and warm vanilla. A new men's fragrance, simply namedJaguar, was introduced in 2002, characterized by citrusy, spicy, and aromatic accords. That same year also saw the release ofJaguar Performance. In 2004, the floral-fruityJaguar Womenwas unveiled, featuring key notes of peach, mandarin orange, jasmine, spices, amber, orris root, and pepper. Numerous additional fragrances have been launched in the years since.

  Designer Jaguar boasts a collection of 42 perfumes in its fragrance portfolio. The earliest fragrance dates back to 1988, with the most recent edition released in 2024. Jaguar's fragrances have been developed in collaboration with renowned perfumers, including Amandine Clerc-Marie, Richard Herpin, Richard Ibanez, Dominique Preyssas, Marie Salamagne, Michel Almairac, Alexandra Monet, Philippe Romano, Bernard Ellena, Maurice Roucel, Vincent Schaller, Annick Menardo, Karine Dubreuil-Sereni, Steve Guo, Robertet, and Sidonie Lancesseur.
