Donna Karan New Yorkis an iconic American fashion house founded by designer Donna Karan and her late husband, Stephan Weiss. As the daughter of a tailor and a showroom model, fashion is inherently ingrained in Donna Karan’s legacy. She began her design career with Anne Klein in the 1970s and launched her eponymous brand in 1984, gaining acclaim for her women’s collections centered around seven versatile, interchangeable pieces—crafted to effortlessly transition from day to night.

The company expanded its brand portfolio withDKNY, targeted at younger women, and later introduced sub-labels such as DKNY Jeans, DKNY Men, and DKNY Active. Over time, the brand diversified into children’s apparel, home accessories, and beauty products.

In 1992, the first fragrance,Donna Karan for Women, debuted. Through a collaboration with Estée Lauder, the 1990s saw the launch of numerous men’s and women’s scents. In 2000, the luxury conglomerate LVMH acquired the company, and fragrances continue to be released under the Donna Karan Beauty and DKNY labels.
