BORNTOSTANDOUT, a niche perfume brand from Seoul, South Korea, emerged in 2020 through the vision of Jun Lim, a fragrance enthusiast who dedicated himself fully to his passion. Officially launching in 2022, the brand made a bold entrance by challenging conventions and celebrating unapologetic self-expression.

Rooted in Korean heritage, BORNTOSTANDOUT draws inspiration from Joseon Dynasty porcelain, blending a striking red-and-white aesthetic that exudes rebellious charm while retaining elegance. Its scents are equally audacious—think provocative names and unforgettable olfactory profiles that captivate those seeking unconventional fragrance experiences.

Collaborating with industry heavyweights like Olivier Cresp and Florian Gallo, the brand has crafted standout creations such as"Dirty Rice"—a creamy, woody-musk blend—and"Indecent Cherry", a vibrant burst of fresh, juicy cherry. These fragrances, alongside a diverse portfolio, have won over scent enthusiasts with their bold, soulful twists.

In February 2025, L’Oréal’s venture fund, BOLD, invested in the brand, recognizing its innovative approach and supporting its global expansion while preserving its creative integrity.

Today, BORNTOSTANDOUT commands international attention through its fearless fragrances, sleek packaging, and a defiant ethos that champions authenticity.

Fragrance Portfolio: BORNTOSTANDOUT® currently features 36 perfumes in our fragrance base.
