"Atyab Al-Marshoud is a multi-generational company founded in 1925, making it one of the oldest perfume houses in Kuwait and the wider Gulf region. Established by the late Suleiman Al-Marshoud, it holds the distinction of being the first perfume company in the Gulf.
The late Suleiman Al-Marshoud is a historical icon in Kuwait and the Gulf, celebrated as the pioneer who introduced perfumery to the region. He traveled extensively across India and Southeast Asia in search of incense sourced from thousand-year-old trees, and his offerings included incense and pure oils extracted from plants and flowers. He also passed down to his sons the art of blending oils to create perfumes and the traditional skills of selling incense.
Following his passing, his sons carried forward his legacy, with subsequent generations successfully embracing a forward-thinking vision while preserving the historical and traditional roots that define the essence of the brand. Over the past five years, the company has expanded across the Gulf, now boasting more than 56 branches. In 2019, it opened its first international branch in London, marking its debut outside the Gulf. It is a brand where one generation builds upon success, and the next sustains it." - a note from the brand.
