MERGER OF THE MATTER, BIRTH OF THE SPIRIT
It is a night bathed in pale moonlight—a night toward the close of the 20th century, when the old world fades and the new one stirs to life. On this night, one trembles as they dare to press the sacred cross to their heart, a gesture to guide the journey into fatherhood.
And so, that night, I took upHyperionby Dan Simmons as my crucifix. This magnum opus of science fiction weaves a tribute to the enduring legacy of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin—a 20th-century scholar, paleontologist, theologian, and philosopher whose ideas stretch into the infinite.
I read on, soothed, until the first glimmers of dawn painted the sky, until the east spilled forth its earliest golden rays. In those pages, I encountered humanity’s future: a celebration of transhumanism, a vision of humanity taking a qualitative leap forward, enhanced by machine. Seldom have I loved a book so deeply, or admired a thinker with such devotion.
That night, I read what one man believed he had glimpsed in the tombs of time.
I am a lover of words that serve material things—words that blend with them to craft poetry, even in the depths of our bottles. So, some years ago, I brought up Pierre Teilhard de Chardin’s work with one of the last living icons of the 20th century’s glory days. I asked him, “Is Teilhard de Chardin, then, a genius ahead of his time?” He met my question with a look, a silence, and then four unexpected words—whispered by my father: “GHOST IN THE SHELL.”
This is the very act of creation that gives birth to a perfume’s spirit. All else is poetry meant to live upon the skin.
Pierre Teilhard de Chardin passed away in 1955, yet his spirit endures, continuing its journey through time. This fragrance extends that journey by joining forces with Japanese artist Shirow Masamune, transcending the bounds of Earth’s spirit.

By blending biotech ingredients and natural materials, this perfume quietly honors the dawn of the future. It also breathes a whisper of a coming day—whether by providence or chance—when humanity will unite and stand as one. A day when the infosphere will call forth all consciousness, forging it into a higher being, and bridging the gap from the inert to the living. Just as molecules gather to form life itself, we will then take that qualitative leap: a moment that is both the starting point and the destination of transhumanism.
This perfume is the future. And it comes to us from the 20th century.
Ghost in the Shell—a perfume that speaks to the human experience and its inherent paradoxes. A perfume to wear freely, at one’s own pleasure. A perfume that spreads outward, toward others, making you the axis and the arrow of evolution. Truly, it is modern. From the depths of matter, rise.
