In 2018, Dior unveiled a new iteration of Sauvage—originally launched in 2015—this time as an Eau de Parfum. Crafted by Dior’s in-house perfumer François Demachy, the Eau de Parfum was designed to uncover fresh dimensions of the Sauvage essence. Described as enveloping, velvety, mysterious, and sensual, its composition leans into oriental and vanilla accords.
While retaining core notes from the original formulation—including bergamot, Sichuan pepper, lavender, and ambroxan—the new blend is elevated with a rich layer of spices and warm, oriental nuances: star anise, nutmeg, and Papua vanilla.
The fragrance’s new advertising campaign once again features actor Johnny Depp as its face. It is available in 60 ml and 100 ml Eau de Parfum sizes.
