"Le Régent", the first volume in the "Jewels of the Crown" collection, delves into the 18th-century archives of Maison Oriza L. Legrand. During that era, the house was known as "Parfumerie Oriza de Fargeon-Aîné" and was situated at the court of King Louis XV—famously referred to across Europe as "The Perfumed Court".
As early as 1720, the Oriza Perfumery operated a store within the confines of the Cour Carrée at the Louvre.
TheRegent Diamond, a 140.5-carat gem, is regarded as one of the world’s most exquisite diamonds. Today, it can be admired in the Galerie d’Apollon at the Louvre in Paris.
