Lalique is set to unveil its new masculine fragrance, L'Insoumis, in September 2016—a scent paying homage to the house's founder, René Lalique, and his visionary artistic spirit. The man who wears it is envisioned as a charismatic, elegant, and authentic individual: one who eschews trends to forge his own, a dreamer and a modern-day adventurer.

Crafted by perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin using rich, high-quality ingredients, the fragrance belongs to the aromatic-woody fougère family. Its opening unfolds with an intense aromatic blend of bergamot, rum, and basil, leading into a classic masculine heart of lavender, black pepper, and clary sage. The composition finds its finale in Haitian vetiver, moss, patchouli, and the Clearwood molecule.

The bottle, designed in a contemporary Art Deco style, features a fern relief—an emblem first introduced on Lalique's iconic 1926 Tourbillons vase. This fern motif encapsulates the free-spirited essence that the fragrance seeks to embody.
