This long-lasting eau de parfum opens with bright, fresh fruity top notes, blending the zesty aromas of mandarin, lime, and bergamot. Its heart notes—lushly floral, featuring ylang-ylang, iris, fig leaf, and neroli—emerge remarkably quickly, taking center stage not long after application. Anchoring the scent, the base notes unfold into a warm, sensual finish, leaving subtle traces of musk, vetiver, and tonka bean on the skin.
This exquisite formulation was crafted by Michael Knudsen, founder of GRAVEL, as a tribute to Hazel Guggenheim—whose support was instrumental in turning his vision of a perfume brand into reality. When Knudsen first developed this exclusive fragrance for her, the production costs were so exorbitant that traditional mass marketing seemed entirely unfeasible. As a result, for years, it was only bottled and made available to a select circle of "special" clients. To this day, each bottle remains a labor of care, filled meticulously by hand.
